The Cortoons Gandia Friki Days, an event intended for fans of manga and Asian culture, was presented during the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) by the councilman of Tourism of Gandia, Balbina Sendra, and the director of the Cortoon Gandia Festival, Alessandro d’Urso. These events will take place on May 25th and 26th at the Baladre Auditori of the beach, offering activities for enthusiasts of cosplay, anime, animation and video games, as well as those curious to explore this universe.

The programme of the event will include a wide range of activities, from Japanese cuisine workshops to exhibitions of emerging and dedicated artists, with emphasis on cosplay contests, performances, and K-pop sections. In addition, there will be an “Arcade Zone” with retro video games, Switch tournaments and activities for the whole family, making Espai Baladre a meeting point for both young people and adults.

The realization of this event reinforces the tourist attraction of Gandia, offering innovative proposals that attract a diverse and potentially wealthy audience. Meanwhile, it was announced that the Cortoons, the short animation festival, will be held in October, which this year marks its 20th anniversary and eight years of presence in Gandia.
