The fourth edition of the Festival of Art & Gastronomy of Valencia 2024, FestIN, will be held from 16 to 25 February in various places in Valencia, Gandia and Riba-roja de Túria.
The Cultural Centre La Beneficència of the Diputació of Valencia presented the programme of the event, which merges gastronomy with artistic disciplines such as music, the performing arts and painting. During the presentation, a performance was performed by Lluís Penyafort, Valencia Club Cocina, as part of the festive start.
FestIN offers the attendees a unique gastrocultural experience, where they can enjoy gastronomy and art in emblematic places of the three locations. Each space will offer proposals inspired by different themes, seeking to involve the participants in the dissemination and recreation of the Valencian arts. Xavi Pascual, director of Valencia Turisme, expressed his pride for the expansion of the festival to municipalities such as Gandia and Riba-roja de Túria, while Paula Llobet, councillor of Tourism Innovation and Investments of the City of Valencia, highlighted the ability of the event to immerse the beginners in authentic cultural experiences.
In this edition, the festival will offer a varied menu of activities that include opera, history, modernist architecture, painting, sculpture, science and more. The chefs selected to accompany these events represent the best of local cuisine, among them names such as Ricard Camarena, Rosa Vázquez of PROAVA, and the team of the Peruvian-Valencian restaurant Orson.
The scenes chosen for these experiences range from museums such as IVAM and the Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia to cultural spaces such as the Palau de les Arts and the Hortensia Herrero Art Centre, offering a diversity of environments to enjoy the fusion between art and gastronomy.
