The PID will provide personalized information for each destination and will address six key categories: general, economy, transport, accommodation, sustainability and tourist knowledge.

Digitization projects

During the meeting, the managers shared the digitization projects that they have launched with funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain. Destinations such as Rota, Lanzarote, Deputação de Palencia and Alcobendas presented their initiatives to drive digital transformation in the tourism sector.

Sustainability as a key element

Managers agreed that sustainability is crucial to the present and future of tourism. Efficient resource management and the promotion of decarbonization and the circular economy are essential for improving competitiveness and revaluing this sector vital to the Spanish economy.
