This event will be held from 17 to 22 June in the Municipal Pavilion of Raval-Benipeixcar, welcoming athletes of the categories alevin, infantile, cadet, junior, juvenile and senior.

The Councillor of Sports of Gandia, Jesús Naveiro, along with Salvador Catalá, member of the National Committee of the Spanish Federation of Skating, and Patricia Tio, director of the Gandia Hockey Club, presented the eleventh edition of the Championship of Spain of artistic skating “Solo Danza”.

The competition will bring together 313 athletes from 13 autonomous communities, including champions from Spain, Europe and the world. The event, which will have a great international impact, will be broadcast in streaming on the channels of the Spanish Federation of Skating. Councillor Naveiro estimates that around 3,000 people, including athletes, technicians, family and fans, will visit Gandia during the championship, demonstrating the effectiveness of the tourism-sport binomial in the city.

Salvador Catalá highlighted Spain’s progress in this modality since 2013, stressing that the country is now a world reference in artistic skating. Patricia Tio expressed her gratitude for the trust deposited in Gandia and the club, noting that this will be the fifth consecutive time that the city hosts the championship, reflecting the high organizational and competitive level of the event. He also mentioned the participation of local athletes such as Noa Tio, Irene Castellà and Valeria Schoneveld.
