The “Tasta Gandia” Gastronomic Fair will take place from June 9th to 11th at the Moll dels Borja in Gandia Beach. This event will complement the 48th edition of the International Fideuà de Gandia and Gastronomy Competition, which will be held on June 8th. With the participation of 30 national and international contestants, cooking schools, and a jury of renowned chefs, the fair aims to position Gandia as a prominent gastronomic destination. Restaurants affiliated with Destí Safor, the local hospitality association, will conduct live demonstrations and tastings to promote the culinary excellence of the city.
The Gastronomic Fair will feature six themed areas, including showcookings, concerts, a drinks bar, tastings, children’s entertainment, and the main “Tasta Gandia” area. Popular restaurants such as El Telero, Alquimia, Vins i Més, La cuina de Karlos, Street Food by Chema Soler, and the Association of Pastry Chefs of Gandia will be present. José Manuel Navarro, president of Destí Safor, stated, “The aim of the fair is to promote local gastronomy and proximity products, as well as to highlight the entrepreneurs of Gandia.”
Throughout the three-day event, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the “l’Esmorzar Popular” (popular breakfast), participate in wine, vermouth, and gin tonic tastings, and savor tapas prepared by various local hospitality representatives. The fair will begin with a showcooking by the Chef Amadeo Restaurant and conclude the first day with a concert by La Sede. On Saturday, there will be three showcookings, various tastings, and the closing concert “Fiesta Spotify Gandia.” Finally, on Sunday, there will be another “l’Esmorzar Popular,” a showcooking by Pepe Cotaina, and the Vermouth tasting with Bodegas Xaló to conclude the event.
