The city of Gandia will receive two new grants from the Next Generation program of European Funds. The first grant, awarded by the Ministry of Health and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, amounts to €700,000 and is intended for the creation of an intergenerational space for healthy circuits in the Roís de Corella neighborhood and Beniopa district, as well as the improvement of the Roís de Corella Plaza Skate Bowl. 70% of the investment will be financed by this grant, allowing the works to start soon.

The second grant, awarded by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, is €3,031,920.00 and is intended for the improvement of sustainable mobility in the city. The investment includes the modernization of urban public transport with digital information panels for travelers, the implementation of ticketing and online payment procedures, the digitization of bus stop shelters and totems, and the improvement of infrastructures for bicycle use. In addition, the public parking network in the city will be improved with the implementation of a digital signage network.

The spokesman for the Socialist Municipal Group in the Gandia City Council, Vicent Mascarell, has expressed his satisfaction with the arrival of these grants to the city, which amount to almost four million euros. The grants will improve the quality of life for citizens and place Gandia as one of the few cities that has received the maximum help in the category of healthy environments.
