During the XIV SICTED-2024 Awards, held in Fitur and organized by the State Secretariat of Tourism together with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), Gandia stood out as one of the best tourist destinations in terms of excellence and quality of services. This recognition, certified by SICTED, placed Gandia in the second place among the 257 tourist destinations in Spain.
The mayor of Gandia, José Manuel Prieto, and the tourism delegate, Balbina Sendra, received the Second Prize in the category of Best SICTED Destination, during the public award ceremony. For Sendra, this achievement is significant and reflects Gandia’s continued commitment to improving quality in tourism management.
The impulse of the SICTED project in Gandia demonstrates the commitment of the destination to competitiveness and excellence in tourist services. At present, Gandia has 122 services that will renew its commitment to quality, along with 17 new services seeking the distinction for the first time. Furthermore, 28 other services are continuing to work on the project to this distinction.
This recognition consolidates the positioning of Gandia as a quality tourist destination, supported by the joint effort of institutions, professionals and tourist services in the continuous improvement of the visitor’s experience.
