The Feria Internacional de Turismo de Madrid (FITUR) has been the stage of a prominent “showcooking” starring José Manuel Navarro de Casa Jose, who has highlighted the exquisite culinary offer of Gandía. This event adds to the activities within the growing phenomenon of “gastronomic tourism”, attracting numerous visitors to the city.

During the “showcooking”, knowledge about typical dishes made with indigenous products has been promoted. In addition, two gastronomic events were announced that will take place in the next few months: “The gastronomic month of the listed mermaid of Gandia” (from June 15th to July 14th) and “The quintessence of the cigala of Gandía” (from August 31st to September 15th).

Gandia’s participation in the event has also been used to promote the gastronomic fair “Tasta Gandia”. This Saturday, another “showcooking” will take place, this time in charge of Avelino Alfaro, president of the Gastronomic Association Fideuà of Gandia, who will highlight the most international dish of the region and will present the poster of the 49th edition of the International Competition Fideoà in Gandia.
