The city of Gandia is preparing to receive the first Interworld Congress of Agencies, which will take place on April 12, 13 and 14. More than 450 agencies from all over Spain and other countries such as Italy, Portugal and France will have this event as its epicenter, which will take place in the Valencian city. The news was announced by the Councilor for Tourism of Gandia, Vicent Mascarell, accompanied by Emili Fonseca, head of Intermundial in the Valencian Community. “This is magnificent news for Gandia, which consolidates us as a tourist destination, but also due to the public-private collaboration that the Department of Tourism works intensively on,” said the councilor.

The Interworld Congress of Agencies is a unique opportunity for the city of Gandia to show all its tourism potential, as it is a meeting point for exchanging experiences and an opportunity to publicize the destination. In addition, the event will have the presence of opinion makers and decision makers, which will allow the participants to sell the city of Gandia as a tourist destination to visitors from other places.

Gandia has a wide range of tourist activities, including boat trips, guided tours of the Palau Ducal and many other activities of all kinds. “We have thought that it is a city with good conditions to hold this congress,” said Fonseca representing Intermundial. The celebration of this congress represents a unique opportunity for the city of Gandia to continue consolidating itself as a tourist destination and for travel agencies to discover and sell its charms to their clients. The collaboration between the public and private sectors, which has been highlighted by the Councilor for Tourism, is key to the success of events like this and to the development of tourism in the city and the region.
