SEGITTUR has developed the Guide of Sustainability Practices for Smart Tourist Destinations, with the aim of being a reference source for success stories to be known and progress towards tourism sustainability.
The Guide includes 27 best global practices to advance sustainability objectives, guarantee the quality of the tourist offer, minimize the impacts generated by tourism, among others… In addition, seven challenges of destinations are analyzed to address sustainability between which include governance, climate change and the decarbonisation of tourism, knowledge and monitoring of tourism activity, and communication and training in sustainability.
