The ITH Innovation Summit 2023, the leading event in the tourism sector organized by the Hotel Technology Institute (ITH), will take place on June 13th and 14th in Madrid. Tourism has been a key driver of the Spanish economy, accounting for 61% of its growth in 2022 and contributing 12.2% to the national GDP, reaching almost 160 billion euros.
The event will focus on innovation and technology applied to tourism, addressing topics such as sustainability, robotics, and smart cities. Prominent representatives from the tourism sector will participate in the event, including Gabriel Escarrer, Executive Vice President and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, Pedro Saura, President of Paradores, and Juan Cierco, President of the Tourism Council of CEOE and Corporate Director of Iberia.
The ITH Innovation Summit will bring together around 500 professionals and will also feature the participation of institutions such as the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism, as well as experts in tourism and technology. The event aims to bring together hotel companies, facilitate agreements, and analyze the future of tourism in Spain and abroad. The event program will include panel discussions and debates on topics such as the application of artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, customer experience, and trends in the hotel industry. Topics related to digitization, travel distribution, and the use of data and artificial intelligence in the tourism sector will also be addressed.
