Over 4,500 Portuguese students have arrived at Gandia beach to enjoy a week-long vacation before graduating and starting their university studies. This initiative, organized by Hype Travel and supported by the Gandia City Council, is considered the largest of its kind in the city to date. The organizers have planned a variety of activities for the students, including sports, leisure, and entertainment.
Gandia’s Tourism Councilor, Vicent Mascarell, has emphasized the importance of such initiatives in attracting and retaining tourists, and praised the contribution of entrepreneurs such as Nuno Mendes in boosting the local economy. The operation, which had its first edition in 2011, has helped promote Gandia as a summer tourist destination, leading to an increase in the presence of Portuguese tourists in recent years. The organizers have expressed their satisfaction with the collaboration of the City Council and hope to continue this initiative in the future.
