Turisme Comunitat Valenciana collaborates with the British magazine National Geographic Traveller in promoting the cultural and gastronomic offer of the province of Valencia.
This partnership was materialized through a press trip that takes place from 15 to 18 April, where two journalists from the prestigious magazine explored various areas of the Valencian geography.
The Minister of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, Nuria Montes, has highlighted the importance of this type of actions to promote the tourist attractions of the Valencian Community at the international level. Press journeys allow to increase the notoriety of the destination, as journalists have the opportunity to get to know the tourist offer closely and to elaborate reports that promote Valencian tourism in the British emitter market.
During the trip, journalists visited emblematic places of the province, such as the city of Valencia, the Natural Park of L’Albufera and the Sierra Calderona. They also focused on the designation of Valencia as the European Green Capital 2024, exploring the city’s efforts to improve the environment and its cultural and heritage offer.
The itinerary designed included activities that show the natural, cultural and gastronomic wealth of the region, such as the visit to orange plantations in the Alta Ribera and the preparation of an authentic paella. This report is expected to help show the attractions of the province of Valencia to the readers of National Geographic Traveller and promote sustainable tourism in the region.
