The call for commitments for a more sustainable, digital, and resilient tourism is still open! The initiative seeks to encourage the participation of new actors in the tourism sector who are committed to working towards sustainability. The commitment survey is available for all tourism agents who want to be part of this initiative, whether to update or expand their commitments.

The objective of this initiative is to address the challenges facing the tourism sector in its transition to a more sustainable, digital, and resilient industry. The European Commission has published a document called ‘Transition pathway for tourism’ that contains a series of recommendations to achieve more sustainable tourism.

This sector has been one of the most affected by the pandemic, making it an opportunity to work together towards a more sustainable future. The first results report of the call was published in June 2022, and a new edition is expected in October 2023. It is important to note that this initiative is the first in which a co-creation process has been implemented to develop a transition pathway in an industrial ecosystem. Join and commit to a more sustainable tourism!
