This year, the city hosts two music festivals that also attract a large number of people. To ensure the safety of visitors, the city council, in collaboration with the government, has increased the number of law enforcement officers by 15%. A total of 254 officers will be deployed in beach areas and high-concentration zones. Mayor José Manuel Prieto announced that this is one of the largest security operations in recent years, reassuring citizens, visitors, and tourists that they will be protected.

During a security meeting, it was announced that the security measures will be put into action during the Pirata Beach Festival, which has already sold 25,000 pre-sale tickets. For this event, 136 officers from the National Police, Local Police, Fire Department, and Traffic Guard will ensure safety. In addition to the festivals, Gandia’s beaches also receive a high number of visitors during the summer.
