The Ministry of Industry and Tourism, through the State Commercial Society for the Management of Innovation and Tourist Technologies (SEGITTUR), will bring its successful Intelligent Tourist Destination (DTI) model to Ecuador. The goal is to work with Quito, the capital and largest city in the country, to make it a smart tourist destination.

Some of the expected benefits of applying the DTI methodology in Quito include:

  1. Improving the tourist experience: The implementation of smart technologies will enable more efficient and personalized services to visitors.
  2. Increased interaction between tourists and residents: The city will be able to encourage the active participation of the local community in the tourist experience.
  3. Transversal use of technology: The adoption of technological solutions will contribute to more efficient and sustainable destiny management.
