The mayor of Gandia, José Manuel Prieto, has expressed his satisfaction with the development of the Fallas, highlighting the high level of hotel occupation, reaching 85%.

Despite the large influx of visitors, the celebrations passed without significant incidents, which highlights the excellent atmosphere experienced during these festivities, which have had a notable economic impact on the city.

The CEO of Fallas, Adrián Vila, shared a positive evaluation, noting the special appeal of the festivities coinciding with a weekend. Vila also highlighted the favorable climate and widespread satisfaction among the attendees, placing Gandia as one of the favorite destinations to experience the Fallas.

For her part, Lydia Morant, Security Councillor, on the effective deployment of the special device during holidays, highlighting the coordinated work of the Local Police, National Police, Firefighters, Red Cross and Civil Protection to ensure normality in all events.

The day of the 19th was marked by traditional activities, including the Mass in honour of Sant Josep in the church of the Arrabal, followed by the visit to the Virgin Mary of the Desamparated in the Plaza Mayor. The evening culminated with the exciting mascletà run by the Hermanos Ferrández pyrotechnic and the procession in honour of Sant Josep. Finally, the night was illuminated with the burning of the children’s and older monuments, symbolizing the end of these vibrant festivities.

Before the closure of the Fallas, Mayor José Manuel Prieto, together with the councillors Adrián Vila and Jesús Naveiro, had a gesture of recognition towards the workers who participated in the special night cleaning device, ensuring that the city returned to normality after the end of the faller celebrations.
