The Municipality of Valencia has revealed its plans to participate in the 44th edition of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), which will take place in Madrid from 24 to 28 January. Emphasizing Gandia as the protagonist, the Deputy of Tourism, Pedro Cuesta, detailed the innovations that the corporation will exhibit at the event. With the slogan ‘Spectacular’, the province seeks to stand out in the middle of the tourist offer, based on gastronomy, culture, nature and the material and intangible heritage.

Innovations in Fitur 2024: Focus on Small Municipalities and Local Gastronomy

This year, the Municipality of Valencia presents new features in Fitur 2024, highlighting the presence of small municipalities at risk of depopulation. These will have a specific space dedicated to the program “Fem Poble, Tourism against Despopulation”. Another novelty is the creation of a gastronomic space within the Valencia Turisme stand to promote the typical products of the province.

Support to Local Businesses and Strengthening the Tourist Offer

The Department will support the local tourism companies present at the fair, expanding the space for meetings and work meetings. A photocall has been installed on the stand to increase the visibility of the province. The promotion of the tourist offer will be enhanced through the dissemination of the Catalogue of Tourist Experiences of the province and the Catálogo de Experiencias Turísticas ‘Fem Poble’ of the Municipality, which bring together more than 100 tourist experiences in various areas.
