It is the first municipality in the Valencian Community to obtain this recognition granted by the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE). In addition, it is the second municipality to receive it from Spain, after the city of Malaga.
The Councilor for Tourism and Beaches, Vicent Mascarell, quotes: “With this new award, Gandia is a leader and is positioned at the forefront. If forty years ago it was valued that the beaches were clean and accessible, today other elements are valued, such as being respectful of our environment or with the values that mark the SDGs”, exposing the importance of respect for the sustainability of our environment , and that this recognition symbolizes.
