The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has set minimum, globally recognized and coordinated criteria that all hotels must implement in order to carry out travel and tourism responsibly.
This initiative focuses mainly on improving the environmental impact of hotels, and must meet at least 8 of the 12 objectives of the ‘Hotel Sustainability Basics’ in total, the rest can be met in the next 3 years.
