Today begins the tenth edition of the Mocadorà in the Passeig de Germanías, which will last until next Sunday, October 9th.

During the last decade there have been “mocadoraes” and this year was not going to be different. A walking market will be installed in front of the House of the Marquess with all kinds of traditional marzipán cakes.

On the other hand, an educational workshop has been organized for the youngest of the capital Safor on Friday 6th between 17:30 – 20:30, which will give them the opportunity to get started in the world of marzipan.

This festival is based on a legend dating back to the time of Jaume I, where men used to give their lovers the traditional “mocadorà”. These marzipan sweets, in the shape of fruits and vegetables, were wrapped in an exquisite silk towel.
